Marjorie Fogarty Lee collection, 1948-1952.

Personal items of Florida State University student Marjorie Fogarty Lee (formerly Marjorie Nelle Fogarty), (AB, Library Science, 1952). Box 1 contains her papers related to her participation in the Flying High Circus Band and the Marching Chiefs, her FSU identification cards, and assorted ephemera and memorabilia. Box 2 consists of 68 photographs depicting Marjorie Fogarty and fellow Florida State University students, as well as campus buildings and events. Students include Betty Jane Mattison, Patricia Crowley, Joan Simms, Dorothy Mathews, Nancy Renninger, Nancy Ann Roper, Charlene Weitman, Helen Howze, Margie Lou Harden, Mary Lee Welch, Joy Summers, Edna Croezinger, Lois Cameron, Mary Tarver and Margaret Reed. Buildings include Longmire, Bryan, Reynolds Hall, Eppes Hall, Cauthon Hall, Baptist Student Union, Broward Hall, and Westcott. Photos of Prince Murat's grave in Tallahassee, as well as Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales and Ca d'Zan in Sarasota are also included.

The Florida State College for Women (FSCW) Artist Series began in 1923. Dean Ella Opperman was the first person in charge of organizing the series. The series was intended to bring renowned artists to FSCW. After FSCW became Florida State University (FSU), the FSU School of Music managed the series.
